Michelle Thompson

Michelle is a seasoned people operations and human resources leader with over 15 years of progressive experience. She has consistently succeeded in designing, implementing, managing, and administering HR, Payroll, and Benefits solutions for small to mid-size startup companies. In her role as the Director of People at Waverley Street Foundation, Michelle fosters a culture where employees are inspired to perform at their best, feel happy and engaged, and are encouraged to bring their authentic selves to work. She also leads professional and personal development programs, while championing a human-centric approach across the organization. With a career that spans multiple operational, management, and leadership roles, Michelle has often been the overall lead for the entire employee experience. She attended San Jose State University, and in her free time, she enjoys photography, playing softball, and spending quality time with her husband and daughters.
